About Star Citizen Free Fly Guide
Star Citizen Free Fly Guide is an unofficial fan guide to playing Star Citizen during Free Fly events: whether one is running, when the next is expected, how to download the game and what to do in your first session. It isn’t run by RSI or Cloud Imperium Games. Official news, Free Fly announcements and downloads are all at robertsspaceindustries.com.

How this site works: who runs it, our sources and why there are no ads
Who runs it
A Star Citizen player. Jokers Gambit (jokersgambit.org), the org featured in our beginner’s guide, is the site owner’s own org.
How we check facts
Every date, spec and rule on this site comes from a source we can name. Pages carry a “checked” date showing when we last compared them with those sources, and the RSI Launcher version on our pages (now 2.18.1) is read automatically every 6 hours from RSI’s own update manifest. Anything we can’t source is left out, and we never print dates for a Free Fly that hasn’t been announced. Event times are in UTC.
Each source has one of three tiers:
- Official: an RSI Comm-Link, Spectrum post or support article, or a CIG press release.
- Press: a news article.
- Fan only: found only on fan sites, such as the Star Citizen Wiki. Every page links its sources, so you can always see when one is a fan site.
No ads, no donations
This site has no ads, no sponsors and no donation button. RSI’s Star Citizen Fankit and Fandom FAQ prohibits commercial use of RSI’s game content and names “advertising”, “fundraising” and “donations” among its examples.
